Mobile Visions Releases iPheedr, an RSS Reader for the iPhone
August 10th, 2007 by Greg HarrisMobile Visions is excited to announce the release of iPheedr, a universal a universal feed reader for the Apple iPhone. iPheedr currently supports Newsgator, Bloglines, and OPML export files.
Optimized to work over the AT&T EDGE network, iPheedr’s clean, simple interface allows you to review your feeds easily while you are on the go.
You can use iPheedr with any desktop, or web based RSS reader by simply emailing your OPML file to OPML@iPheedr.com. iPheedr will store the OPML file on our servers, and email back a secret key to be used to access it. Updates to your feeds are as simple as emailing in a new file.
We are currently implementing the Google Reader API (which is undocumented), and expect it to be ready shortly. In the meantime Google users can import an OPML file simply by emailing it.
When using the OPML and Bloglines versions, iPheedr implements the Well Formed Web comment API, allowing simple viewing of comments in iPhone format.
Another great feature of iPheedr is that you can send a link to a friend via SMS or email. It’s integrated into the Mobivity API so sending off a quick SMS to any user even without an iPhone is simple.
We look forward to all feedback.
