Mobile Marketing Magazine is reporting that the UK sent over 3.8 BILLION! text messages in the month of October. Thats 100 million more than the previous record, which was September.

The numbers come from the Mobile Data Association, who attribute the rise to the run up to the holidays. With many new text message based services for consumers, the numbers are sure to rise more over the next few months.

Here in the U.S.A, things are picking up as well as SMS gets integrated into our daily life. Since we started Mobivity, we have heard so many great ideas of content that can be delivered via SMS.
